Part 2 of the mammoth NZ Festival of Motor Racing hit Pukekohe in the last weekend of January, as did several hundred cars, scorching hot sun, thunderstorms, wind, lightning and a lot of top notch racing. With some drivers back on familiar ground after the still-new Hampton Downs the racing order was quite obviously shaken up within the classes, but that all lead to some fantastic on track action. Ground-Sky was out in force, and we thank all the enthusiastic drivers who visited our lovely ladies doing their bit in the Ground-Sky tent.

With one week to go before the McLaren festival kicks off it was the last chance for many to get some track time. With big grids in the BMW series and fantastic weather, summertime at Hampton Downs was the place to be.

Targa New Zealand 2009

It was a LONG week!  Cully had to bail out on Monday due to becoming a father earlier than expected - congratulations Cully and Fiona!  We roped in Caleb as a replacement and along with Nick, John and Philip, he enjoyed a week which involved standing out in the hail and even some snow!  89 cars started, 71 cars finished and we covered 2800 kms and shot 12,000 great photos.
